Ganesh Chaturthi - How to celebrate the great Ganesha festival

GaneshJi

Ganesh Chaturthi is one of the most favorite and popular festivals in India. Well, not only in India, but this festival celebrated across the nation in varied traditions by different people. As we know that, people are diehard fan of lord Ganesha, so whenever any auspicious and religious work about to begin, they worship to lord Ganesha first. As per the analysis, he is the only God available in Hindu tradition, which is worshipped and prayed first as compare to any other God. His blessings are really invoked and bring the fortune in the life. Above all, it is the true fact that lord Ganesha is the best enemy for all difficulties, sorrows and troubles of the devotees. And, pray to Ganesha is the best way of getting success in life in terms of knowledge and learning.

As per the Indian tradition, Ganesh Chaturthi is performed in the month of August and September of every year. It is the day on which, lord Ganesha took birth to remove all the negative energies from the earth. I would like to inform that this amazing festival is also known as ‘Vinayak Chavithi’ and ‘Vinayak Chaturthi’, which is celebrated with full of joy and happiness in all over the world. Moreover, on this occasion, people fully devote themselves by bringing some idol of lord Ganesha in their homes and offices. They enjoy this festival up to the eleven days with the complete faith and pure heart.

Apart from this, the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated in Maharashtra on a very large scale. Individuals bring the idol of Ganesha that can be varied from 3 inches to 40 feet according to their capability for the purpose of immersing into the sea. In addition to this, in the months of August and September, devotees follow certain rules and guidelines which are set every year only for this particular festival. They keep long fast and are committed to open their fast only after the completion of eleven days, which is the ending point of this carnival.

On the eve of this carnival, all the persons come in the front of lord Ganesha’s image on the streets and gather in a group by wearing some traditional clothes to offer some flowers and coconuts. Along with this, in order to impress lord Ganesha, they sing and dance in a traditional way. For the well being of family members, all the persons arrange in one line and chant ‘Ganpathi Bappa Mourya, Agle Barash Tu Jaldi Aa’ that conveys the message that ‘O Father Ganesha, Come again early in the next year’. With this hope, they move to the nearest river or sea for immersing the idol of lord Ganesha.

At last, I am very glad to well known artists, who make this carnival more exciting and interesting by performing many dance and drama activities. Also, there are some special arrangements done by the Government including medical checkup, Blood donation camp, etc to take care of all the devotees during the time period of the festival.
